About us

Governance

The primary aim of RZS NSW is to promote and advance the science of zoology as a scientific discipline, and to protect, preserve and conserve the indigenous animals of Australasia and their associated habitats.

We achieve our aims through the active support of Australian researchers, publication of quality research and national advocacy for the best science-based conservation policy.

RZS NSW is incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 and is governed by a constitution. Our financial investments are guided by an Investment Policy that preferences ethical and socially responsible investments, aligning with the aims of the Society.

The Royal Zoological Society of NSW is a not-for-profit organisation, registered as a charity under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission.
